ABC has given a put pilot commitment to a crime drama from "Clubhouse" creator Daniel Cerone and "Harry Potter" producer David Heyman. Tentatively titled "Crime Prevention Unit," the project, to be produced by Warner Bros. TV and Heyman's Heyday Prods., is based on the British series "Murder Prevention." It chronicles the workings of a police division that tracks and apprehends criminals before they are able to commit a crime. Cerone is writing the script and executive producing with Heyman, who has a pod deal at WBTV. Cerone, who also worked on WB Network's "Charmed," is repped by WMA. On TV, Heyman executive produced CBS' sci-fi series "Threshold" last season.
