Following their Oscar-winning feature-length film Wallace & Gromit in The Curse of the Were-Rabbit, Aardman Animation is planning to bring the man and dog team back to the small screen for Christmas 2008. Entitled Trouble At Mill, the film will be thirty minutes long and will air on BBC1 next December. According to ,

The film sees the pair open a bakery business before Wallace becomes sidetracked by a love interest, Piella Bakewell. With his master distracted, Gromit is left to solve a murder.

Writer-director Nick Park commented that while he's loved working on major feature films like Chicken Run and Were-Rabbit, he's looking forward to a project like this that will take less time to complete. Park will collaborate with Bob Baker, who co-wrote earlier Gromit shorts The Wrong Trousers and A Close Shave.
