The CW network is close to renewing "Veronica Mars," reports. The show posted low ratings and disappointing story lines this season but a trailer for a "revamped" version of the show garnered smiles from the network.


The series lost its way when Veronica went to college, but the proposed fourth season sounds like a winner -- the show fast forwards a few years and shows Veronica studying to become an FBI agent. The cancellation of "Gilmore Girls" also helps the show's chances. Please come back, cutie...
