The three big names being considered to fill in for Rosie O'Donnell on The View are Whoopi Goldberg, Gayle King (Oprah's friend), and comedienne Sherri Shepherd, says TVGuide. Comedian Mario Cantone was thought to be a potential replacement after his frequent guest appearances, but this is rumored to be more of a "fun stunt" than an audition. Besides, I don't think the female-exclusive View necessarily wants to send the message that "gay men are practically women anyway."
