Seth MacFarlane recently discussed the failure of the Rob Corddry starrer The Winner with . MacFarlane was executive producer of the show, which was created by former Family Guy writer Ricky Blitt. "It is looking like there could be a future life for The Winner. I hope it pans out," MacFarlane said.

I don't. Family Guy is a funny show, and Rob Corddry is a very talented comedic actor, but The Winner was complete dreck. Corddry almost salvaged that show, but the writing was so abysmal and the laugh track so grating that it was painful to watch. Maybe if they dump the (seemingly extra-loud) laugh track, write some better scripts, and get better supporting actors they'd have a good show, but at that point they may as well just start considering it a different show with Rob Corddry altogether.
