We heard via Movieweb that The Sarah Silverman Program will be returning to Comedy Central on October 3rd at 10:30 pm. Highlights from the forthcoming second season include:

Sarah becoming romantically involved with God, and becoming black for a day to prove to him that it's harder being Jewish.

Sarah discovers that the community group she's joined is planning to bomb the abortion clinic she volunteers at.

And much more in the same controversial and hilarious vein.

The DVD of the first season will be released on Tuesday October 2nd, and will include all six episodes, plus musical performances, storyboard animatics, and audio commentary by the whole cast.
