The Christina Applegate starring comedy Samantha Who? has proved to be the highest rated new comedy of the season, and as a result will enjoy a full first season. According to , ABC ordered the "back nine" episodes after Samantha got its highest ratings yet for its third episode. Applegate plays the title character, "a woman who suffers from amnesia after an accident -- and is mortified to discover that she used to be a pretty horrible human being. Jennifer Esposito, Kevin Dunn, Melissa McCarthy, Tim Russ, Barry Watson and Jean Smart also star." The show was created by Cecelia Ahern and Donald Todd.
