According to , Vertigo Entertainment and Lionsgate Television are hashing out plans to reinvent Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho in a television series called Bates Motel. Details have not been revealed yet. Vertigo is more known for its Asian adaptations (The Departed, The Ring, and The Grudge) but they have also produced such films as the upcoming The Invasion, a remake of Invasion of the Body Snatchers.

 

How they could make a series out of Psycho. Is it a prequel? Is it Norman's childhood? I'm genuinely curious about how they're planning to handle this.
