The word on TVGuide.com is that the producers of One Tree Hill fired actor John Cates for getting too close to Sophia Bush. Apparently Chad Michael Murray, the jealous ex-husband of his co-star issued an ultimatum to the producers, and naturally they chose their star over some dude. The studio maintains that Cates's character's story had simply been resolved and they moved on.
