The Miss Universe Pageant received unbelievably low ratings numbers for the 2007 event, leading me to believe that there is, in fact, a limit to how often people will get excited about a bunch of punch-dumb women parading around in next to no clothing. Wait. What?? The numbing stupidity that is that American public preferred a re-airing of the cinematic classic Two and a Half Men by a rather wide margin, with the latter film garnering 10.6 million viewers/3.4 market share the the pageant's 7.1 million viewers/2.4 market share. That hurts all th way to my shallow, women lovin' core. Ouch! Could this mean the end of Miss Universe? Let's hope not, but if it does could they perhaps consider replacing it with a two hour long Sports Illustrated Swimsuit special? I wouldn't protest.
