News > Law and Order: SVU Insinnia Charged with Child Porn

August 15, 2007

Albert Insinnia, the actor who played Lt. Pizzelli on Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, was arrested this week on two counts of child pornography. He turned himself in on Monday and authorities found 180 pornographic images of children on his laptop. According to contactmusic, Insinnia plead not guilty, saying that the images weren't his. One has to wonder why he would turn himself in and then plead not guilty but I'm sure this will all make sense at some point.

Oh cruel irony. To think, an actor who played a cop on a show all about sex crimes has been arrested for child pornography. How awful, and amusing, and ironic all at the same time. I suppose that's what we're supposed to be saying right now, except for the fact that Albert Insinnia only appeared in two episodes of the hit show. I'm sure if you examine the criminal records of every extra who was ever on any show you're sure to find a disturbing criminal record of some kind. Also, it's not like the signs weren't there. The next movie he's got coming out is a horror film called Hot Baby. Come on.
