News > Lara Croft Hits the Small Screen

After a string of terrible film adaptations and sub-par video games, somehow, the 'Tomb Raider' franchise has crawled back to the surface.  The newest venture featuring pixelated boobies, or so says TVGuide of Ms. Lara Croft will be Re\Visioned: Tomb Raider, a 10-part online mini-series with different incarnations of the tit-ular video game lady being penned and animated by different famous directors.  Because Angelina Jolie is too busy attempting to fill her Global Adopt-A-Kid Collector's Book, the always classy Brit, Minnie Driver will be voicing the character.

The episodes are being penned by some of the big guns of comic-dom, including Warren Ellis, Jim Lee, and Christos Gage, with the first three-part adventure being handled by the man behind 'Aeon Flux' Peter Chung.  The vibe I always got from 'Tomb Raider' was that of a female Indiana Jones, a pulpy sort of serial with action, tits, and more action.  Thus, breaking it down in to short little webisodes seems to be the best idea.  Viewers can develop a taste for the character, or just revel in the sheer action, adventure and cliffhangers these little spots are sure to generate.

The first episode premieres on www.gametap.com  on July 10th.
