With the fantasy genre being all the rage on our silver screens, it stands to reason that television would catch up. reports that CBS has made a pilot commitment for Bary Sonnenfeld (Men in Black) and Chad Hodge's (Runaway, Tru Calling) Kingdom, a fantasy series about four young friends, one of whom discovers he is heir to the throne. The drama "will explore how the new power changes the lives of the four friends, particularly the new King Lucas -- who'd rather drink and womanize than fulfill his new duties." No word yet about the cast.
