News > Jericho coming back?

This is getting ridiculous. The rational word breathed a collective sigh of relief when CBS canceled Jericho earlier this year. It seems like the show just won't die, however. A marginalized contingent of unstable fans have been tirelessly lobbying to get the show re-upped, circulating internet petitions, staging protests, and embarking on hunger strikes. I'm all for rising up against the network juggernauts, but this is one case where I wish the masses would shut the hell up. CBS, however, seems to listen more to their disenfranchised fans than they do to me. Go figure. Unconfirmed sources are reporting that the network is on the verge of signing a new 8-episode deal, effectively bringing the show back from the dead. If the rumors pan out we could see the show return as early as mid-season next year. Let's hope, if only for the sake of my own sanity, that this is a cruel joke. If Jericho has not been re-upped by the end of the day today, I promise to eat all of my vegetables tonight.
