Ronald D. Moore, the biggest goober in television, has just inked a two year, multi-million dollar contract with NBC/Universal Media Studios. Moore will continue to lord over Battlestar Galactica as the show enters its final season. He will also begin work on one or more unidentified projects. The network, having enjoyed significant success with the Galactica revival, would obviously love for Moore to produce another hit. As Moore himself had to say, courtesy of TVGuide:

"It sort of depends on what it is," Moore tells the trade. "My first instinct is to do something new and of my own [creation]. But I'm not averse to doing a new spin on something else. I will be as curious as you to see what my next project is."

Ohhh what an articulate sap we've got here. My guess is that we'll see some sort of poorly executed Battlestar Galactica spinoff series that crashes and burns in its first season. Anyone taking bets?
