News > Cane joins scratch 'n sniff ad campaign

CBS' new fall drama, Cane, featuring Jimmy Smits as the head of a Cuban-American family that owns a large rum and sugar business in South Florida. Starting this week in Rolling Stone, ads will appear for Duque, the fictional rum produced in the series. Best of all, it'll smell just like a crisp lime Mojito that's just a piece of paper.

The New York Post is quick to mention how it's nonalcoholic and in a "tamper-proof pouch." Because nothing says getting a buzz like a strip of paper with an artificial smell.

This comes on the heels of an earlier post this week where the L.A. Times will run ads this weekend that smell like delicious cake in preparation for Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium.
