News > Angel co-creator leaves Moonlight

This certainly seems to be the season for departures. According to TVGuide, the co-creator of the formerly-popular Vampire show Angel has left his post at CBS' not-so-good vampire police drama Moonlight. David Greenwalt, the mac responsible for perpetuating the Buffy franchise with Angel has left Moonlight. Got it? Good. Could he be jumping ship before the whole boat sinks? Given the general level of quality here,we'd have to wager a giant "yes!" It's a smart move, Greenwalt. Leave before the season starts, avoid all of the negative press and drama, and move on to develop yet another crappy vampire show. Ass. Can we please, please, please get someone down in Hollywood to put the brakes on development and execution of any and all "modern day vampire" shows? I've hated them since the days of Buffy, and am quite glad to see the impending demise of one of the last relics of the genre. Thanks, David Greenwalt!
