Somehow, 'American Dad' is a popular animated television show.  Somehow, even though it's pretty much 'Family Guy' with different characters and a lesser sense of humor, the show keeps getting signed on for more seasons.  And somehow, the two men responsible for the sometimes funny show are signing on for another two years at Fox Television.  Rich Weiner (huh huh) and Kenny Schwartz, the exec-producers of the strangely popular animated series will continue to write for the show for at least another season, while also exclusively developing projects for Fox.

The duo started many a moons ago on 'Mad About You' and continued with 'Two Guys, A Girl, and a Pizza Place'.  So far, the original ideas they've bandied about include, uh, a romantic comedy.  Real original guys, reeeeeeeeeaaaaaaal original.
