News > "Human Giant" Renewed Thanks to Internet telethon stunt

Did anyone catch that 24-hour telethon thing on MTV this weekend? It was hosted by the actors from Human Giant and was a plea to viewers to get their website a million hits. Thanks to some big name guests (John Krasinksi from The Office and Albert Hammond Jr. from The Strokes, for example) and some funny bits, the website was able to garner 12 million hits, . And thanks to that, the series has been given a second season.

Very interesting way to get renewed. The series was in danger previously because of low ratings, but the stunt proved there was, indeed, an audience for the show.

Check out clips of the marathon here.
