Susan Lucci explained to reporters at ABC's Super Soap Weekend in Florida why she turned down an offer to be on the network's "Dancing with the Stars."

TVGuide.com reported that the "All My Children" star held a press conference in Orlando during which she said she turned down the "Dancing" offer because she didn't want to travel from New York to Los Angeles twice weekly, which would be required to be on the show. If it were not for the frequent commute, Lucci said, she would have loved to have been on the show.

TVGuide.com also reported Lucci as saying she would take a post on the panel of ABC's "The View" if offered. Lucci has previously been a guest on the daytime talk show.
