Glendale, Calif., police Monday booked Nicole Richie for driving under the influence.
Agent John Balian said she "was cooperative." Balian said the report lists her as 5-foot-1 and weighing 85 pounds. She was released at 7 a.m. after posting $15,000 bail. Details were confirmed for People magazine by the California Highway Patrol.
Two people called 911 to report a 2005 black Mercedes SUV proceeding in the wrong direction on Highway 134 shortly after midnight.
When officers located the car in Burbank, Richie was already stopped, her vehicle facing the right direction in the carpool lane.
Richie's representative declined comment.
In February 2003, after she was arrested in Malibu, the Smoking Gun Web site reported she was charged with possession of heroin. Her driver's license had been suspended. Richie has also been in a drug-rehab program and received treatment for being unable to gain weight.
