Reality TV > Punk'd + Wedding Crashers?

If someone had told me seven years ago, that Ashton Kutcher, star of That 70s Show and Dude Where's My Car?, would be the king of a reality television empire today, I would've slapped 'em in the face and spat on their suit coat. But against all odds, Demi Moore's beefy man-love has not only scaled the toothpick pyramid of the reality world, he's done so successfully and at times even enjoyably. I for one found both Punk'd and Beauty and the Geek consistently entertaining, though I forced myself into high levels of intoxication during screenings of either shows to alleviate the guilt.
Now, Kutcher has been given the greenlight on a new reality show: The Real Wedding Crashers. Each one-hour episode revolves around Kutcher teaming up with a bride and a groom to pull some serious sheninigans on those attending the blessed nuptials. The season will last for six episodes, but I'm sure if it's popular, they'll pick up some more.
Though it sounds right up Kutcher's alley, the article I read contained a glaring problem for me, stating that some of the pranks would be ""emotional and bring the families together". What? Ashton Kutcher is trying to go down the friggin' Extreme Home Edition path and bring some heart to the reality world? I mean, I know The Butterfly Effect and The Guardian were pretty heavy on the emotional side, but c'mon Ashton, this is reality television! We don't want no stinkin' emotion, we want attractive women, hilarious concepts, and well orchestrated melodrama! Don't give me this bringing families together crap - I won't have it.
The show premieres April 23rd, and will air on NBC, Mondays at 8 PM against the waning crud of The Black Donnellys.
