Reality TV > Next "Survivor" to Take Place in China

April 18, 2007

reports that Survivor, the show that wouldn't die, will take place in China next year. Despite the fact that China has notoriously been difficult for Americans to film inside, the country has recently learned how to chill the eff out and accept more and more American projects.

Still, this makes the new season of Survivor the first American television series to be completely developed on Chinese territory. Producer Mark Burnett is hoping that this change of setting will, at the very least, increase the appeal of the show to overseas audiences.
