For both of you who can't get enough American Idol news, reports that 2007 winner Jordin Sparks has added Sanjaya Malakar to her list of all-time favorite male singers.

 

Her list originally included people who can actually sing, like John Mayer and Justin Timberlake, but Sparks can't hold back her admiration of all things Sanjaya:

 

"He had so much guts...he had so much strength. He got a lot of criticism, but for him to go out on that stage and hold his head high ... I really look up to him for that. He's just an amazing kid."

 

Mmhm. Takes a great deal of courage to continually be awful at singing songs whilst the entire country makes fun of you, riding out the crest of your temporary fame solely for the meager rewards it brings. He's my hero, too.
