The Jackson siblings who have nothing better to do (LaToya, Jermaine and Tito) are coming together to help CBS put together a new American Idol style show with the goal of finding performing families. Go out on a limb much, CBS? How many families have been able to hit it big (The Partridges do not count)? And how would it be possible for a performing family to fly under the radar if they have any talent at all? And given that there is a family just waiting for this opportunity, there can not be enough to make for a compelling competition. Nothing is more compelling than a good "crash and burn" story, though, so we can hold out hope that that will be the angle this show takes.
