Reality TV > Idol's Sanjaya an 'Object of Ridicule' in India

Rumors that Sanjaya has been receiving an undue voting push from the Indian subcontinent are apparently unfounded to an absurd degree.  In fact, not only is Sanjaya virtually unknown in that country due to low ratings, but Idol is broadcast a day late, obliviating any realistic possibility of large scale Indian voting.  Beyond that, those who do watch him think he's a joke.  This, of course, is no different from how he's viewed stateside; those who vote for him here largely do so in an attempt to sink the show's ratings - a strategy that appears to be working based on the latest figures.
