Dog is in the doghouse.

A&E's Dog, The Bounty Hunter, real name Duane Chapman, was taken into custody in his Honolulu home early this morning by US Marshals. The Marshals also arrested two other members of Chapman's team, incuding his son Leland, and all face possible extradition to Mexico.

An arrest warrant was issued after the men failed to keep in touch with Mexican authorities following a 2003 incident in Mexico. In June of that year, Dog and his crew went to Mexico and tracked and captured Andrew Luster, the Max Factor cosmetics heir who was wanted in the US on rape charges.

Since bounty hunting is illegal in Mexico, Dog and his men were arrested and held for several days and upon release were told to report back to Mexican authorities once a week. Luster was also arrested at the time and extradited to the US.

Now, the Mexican government says Dog and company didn't hold up their end of the bargain.

"The arrest warrant was signed by a US magistrate in Hawaii on September 13. The warrant was based on a formal request based on a diplomatic note from the government of Mexico," a spokesperson from the US Marshal's Office said.

Chapman and crew are scheduled to have a hearing today, at which time it will be decided whether or not they are to be extradited to Mexico to face charges.

"He arrests the bad guys--and he is definitely not one of them," Chapman's publicist said of him.

Dog is A&E's top-rated show, drawing an average 2 million viewers a week. Earlier this year, Chapman was slapped with a lawsuit by a man who claimed he had suffered damage to his reputation after being wrongly accused by the bounty hunter on camera.

Luster was convicted of drugging and raping three women and is currently serving a 124-year prison sentence.
