The 27-year-old singer, who finished second in "Idol's" sophomore season, will play himself on the popular soap opera Dec. 22 and will perform a song from his album "A Thousand Different Ways," said People magazine.

While Aiken will perform his song "Everything I Have" on the episode, which films Nov. 14, his 2004 Christmas track "O, Holy Night" is also featured during the special holiday episode of "Days," the report said.

People magazine said on the series Aiken will perform "Everything" as part of a private concert put on for "Days" characters Steve and Kayla, who are played by Stephen Nichols and Mary Beth Evans respectively.
