Bernie Mac (he of Oceans 11 & 12 fame) is teaming up with "The Biggest Loser" producer Ben Silverman to bring a new reality show entitled "Welcome To The Family" to NBC.  The show has something to do with couples of varying ethnic, religious, and cultural beliefs, but aside from that not much has been released.  Silverman says, "It's all about falling in love, family and learning how to accept someone despite cultural, economic or social differences."

Silverman also states that the show is the first "reality romantic comedy."  It's an odd thing to grasp on to that reality television can now be genrified.

From what I know, the show seems to be aiming at the "Extreme Home Makeover" audience, by sort of eschewing competition and the need to kick people of "islands" in favor of good old fashion American values.  Of course, I know very little, so I'm sure by the time this bad-boy hits the air, these diverse families will be break-dancing in front of three judges, hoping to win a new mini-van and four hundred dollar renovation on their non-denominational center of worship.
