Reality TV > 'The Real Wedding Crashers' Gets Really Cancelled

May 10, 2007

The Real Wedding Crashers (a.k.a., Ashton Kutcher's grown-up version of Punk'd) has fallen victim, like so many other shows, to the Monday 10pm timeslot.

Zap2it reports that NBC pulled the show this week, and will instead air reruns of Law and Order: Criminal Intent, because obviously NBC doesn't air nearly enough Law and Order

The Real Wedding Crashers is the third NBC show to tackle the 10pm Monday timeslot, and is now subsequently the third show to be cancelled for attempting it. Studio 60 and The Black Donnellys both fell victim to lackluster ratings in the timeslot earlier this year. The Real Wedding Crashersdebuted to an audience of about 6.75 million people, and its audience steadily shrunk until NBC dropped the axe this week.

It's always nice when bad things happen to Ashton Kutcher, but it's depressing that the failures of the otherwise-decent Studio 60 and Black Donnellys are almost entirely due to one horrible hour in NBC's schedule.
