You see what we did there with the title? We plagiarized it. Anyways...a CBS News producer cribbed an entire story from the Wall Street Journal and gave it to Katie Couric as a video essay. The story, about libraries, wasn't even for for the news broadcast but for Couric's blog on CBS.com. Good going...getting fired for a friggin puff piece on a blog.
The unidentified producer ripped off writer Jeffrey Zaslow's article "Of the Places You'll Go, Is the Library Still One of Them?" With a lot more time on his hands, I believe for the fired producer, the answer is yes.
