Mark Burnett is almost singlehandedly responsible for reality TV's dominence. He is the exec producer behind "The Apprentice," "Survivor" and the new Fox hit "Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?" But now Burnett is aiming for the left field with his next project - a scripted series.
The shows will still fit into his brand - family oriented, aiming for the masses - but this time he'll have pay writers.
Burnett has hired Ken Raskoff to head scripted series for his Mark Burnett Prods.
