American Idol's Lisa Tucker may not have walked away with a record deal and a legion of screaming eleven year old fans, but she's making her own waves.  Tucker recently signed on for a role in FOX's pilot "Born In The USA", a primetime soap about blue collared workers in Philly.  The character has been described as "a smart, beautiful girl with a good sense of humor" - how telling.

This isn't the first time Tucker's face has shown up on the boobtube.  Aside from her 10th place finish on American Idol, the 17-year old has also had a guest-starring stint on the dead and gone The O.C. as well as Nickelodeon turd-pile Zoey 101

The show's being produced by the same people behind American Idol, 19 Entertainment, so Tucker's casting isn't a huge surprise.  As of now the information is too limited for me to have any opinon on the show, but the casting reeks of tail-coat riding Jennifer Hudson's Oscar success.
